Sen. Kamala Harris is taking a new stance on the campaign trail, she now just swears to undo all the good President Trump has done.
Specifically Harris is looking to repeal the 2017 tax cuts that were put in place by the Trump administration. You know, one of the reason’s the U.S. economy has bounced back harder than ever.
Harris declared to a gathered crowd that she would “get rid of the whole thing.” Plunging the economy back to the stagnant levels it held when former President Obama was in charge.
“On day one, we’re going to repeal that tax bill that benefited the top 1 percent and corporations,” Harris said should she win the 2020 election.
When asked how she would make up for the loss, Harris shared that she would promote the LIFT Act, a bill making the rounds in Congress that would reinstate the corporate taxes repealed by Trump to bolster the income tax credit received by the middle class.
While Harris’ plan would arguably aid the average American, it wouldn’t do so any better than Trump’s economic plan is currently. Which invokes the old adage: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
